WORRY IS UNSUSTAINABLE

 .

WORRY IS UNSUSTAINABLE

.

.

If your hands are shaking and your head is aching

To the heart pounding in your chest

Then it might be the time to rest your poor mind

Just give it all a rest

.

.

Put down the problems, put down the worry

Put down the burdens of the past

Just set it down for a while until you get back your smile

And a new approach that can last

TRIPPING ITINERARY

 .

.

TRIPPING ITINERARY

.

.

What if everything is ruined?

What if all your choices and rotten luck

Have taken you to Hopelessness and Despair

What if all your golden plans turned out to be fool's gold

Worthless

The plans might have been thwarted

But you, my friend, are NOT worthless

Therefore your only choice is to start over

With what you have, valuable information

On what not to do, what doesn't work, what you have outgrown

This is the most valuable information a person can have

If they are devising a new plan, a new vision

Of what you want your life to be

So pack up all those trials and tribulations in your bag

Of tricks and tresspasses

And set off immediately in a new direction

On a new day, with a new plan

For the next leg of your journey

To the Source

PROBLEMATIC

 .

.

.

PROBLEMATIC

.

.

When the chronically self-deceived

Have a bad reason for doing something

They cover it with the fig leaf

Of a good reason, a noble reason

Then strut over to the moral high ground

Smug in their righteous indignation

To look down on you for ever ever

Questioning their motives.

MY SCIENCE EXPERIMENT

 .

.

.

MY SCIENCE EXPERIMENT

.

.

I like to feel cozy and warm when I come to the end of my day

I warm my cold nightgown on a heating pad to avoid warmth's slight delay

They used to have metal bed warming things filled with the hot coals they had

But modern me doesn't have those things, I use a heating pad

I folded and refolded it every night to get the most fabric warm

Once I tried every kind of fold, I deviated from the norm

(Deviation is easy for me, I was born with that wyrd bent)

I finally figured out the very best way to meet my warming intent

I swirl it around and round the size to fit the pad

Maximum warmth for a cozy feel that makes me relaxed and glad

So my scientific conclusion is a cosmic swirly swirl

To warm the nightie of this sleepy space dream girl

HOPE TO COPE

HOPE TO COPE

.

.

Many skills can be improved with practice

Including our skills used to cope

But what if these skills are played out

And you're at the end of your rope?

.

.

Then we must develop new skills

Ones we never used before

If your old skill set is not doing it

Then we will need something more

.

.

You might learn how to be here now

To be mindful of what you are doing

You might need to drop guilt and blame

Your boundaries might need reinforcing

.

.

Healthy habits are a wonderful skill

So is learning how to calm

Add a few new arrows to your quiver of skills

Then your journey can go successfully on.

ADVENTURE

 .

.

.

ADVENTURE

.

.

The life of adventure is the life for me

Not the mountain trail or the untamed sea

But the adventure of a brand new day

Gathering resources, charting my way

No one has ever travelled this day before

The journey starts when my foot touches the floor

The adventure of seeing what happens next

I encourage the heart beating in my chest

I greet the day and venture forth

Travelling through time to find the Source.

LOADED BUT NOT LOCKED

If you give the Keys to someone

Who does not have their wits about them

Who can not see clearly through the fog of confusion

At that moment those keys placed in the hands of one afflicted

With the urge to self-destruct

Will do more harm than good.

DEMON IN THE MINDFIELD

.

The cleverness of the substance dependent mind

Is so cunning, baffling and powerful

That the substance seeking mind will orchestrate

A complex situation

A situation that generates the exact painful emotions

Like a misery factory

That requires the substance of choice

To relieve

HIGHER EDUCATION

When you have been you

For a number of years

Weathered and coped with

Trials and tears

So much self insight,

So much you know

Perhaps now is the time

For you to go pro

Your time is valuable

You need a reward

For all of your wisdom

All that you've learned

An amateur is free

A pro paid their due

Only do things that are

Rewarding to you

DEMONIC TRANSFORMATION

 .

.

.

DEMONIC TRANSFORMATION

.

.

There are bad drivers out on the road

Speeding along with an unsecured load

Cutting madly across three lanes of traffic

So they don't miss their precious exit

.

.

They will cut you off without a care

Road rage at you if you dare

To honk at them, or even exist

Because the demonic driver is always pissed

.

.

They are continuously spoiling for a fight

If they do something then they are right

They will slam on their brakes as a dare

To hit them so you have to pay repairs

.

.

I do wonder who the road ragers are

When they get home and exit their car

Do they immediately lose their demonic form

Or is fury and rage just their norm?

FIRST PERSON

 .

.

.

FIRST PERSON

.

.

When things get out of control

We need to get things back in control

What things would that be?

Number One, first and foremost

We must get control of our emotional reactions

The pounding heart, shallow rapid breath

Racing fragmented thoughts, shaking

But how? How do we get control of these

Physical symptoms of distress?

By controliing our thoughts

We must replace the tsunami of panic

With the gentle tide of reason

Letting useful thoughts wash in slowly, calmly

"All is not lost"

"I can handle this"

"I'm not the first person to deal with this situation"

"I will find a way"

"This is not my fault"

"This can be fixed"

Calm reason washing hypnotically in and out

If this is too hard, find a pal to remind you

Of what a good, worthwhile, competent person you are

And the first person you must love, nurture and respect

Is you

MOMENTUM

 .

.

.

MOMENTUM

We can't go to the Momentum Store and get some momentum

A force of nature, momentum must be harvested

Or mined from deep deep down in the caves tunneling our inner planet

You can generate momentum yourself by making a small movement

Towards your goals

That small movement is the humble beginning

A tiny spark of effort fanned and fed with encouragement and gumption

So, if you are trying to move in a good orderly direction

Activate your momentum

But remember momentum works both ways

It can work against you, drive you backwards

Treasure your little spark of momentum once you get it going

Watch it rise and fall

In direct proportion to our determination to succeed

And gumption, lots and lots of gumption

ROAD WARRIOR

 .

.

.

ROAD WARRIOR

It may not be a yellow brick road

Or paved with lucky jade

But the Path you are on is as good as gold

If you think of the price you have paid

.

.

Every consequence, every scar

Shows just how dear the cost

You paid blood, sweat and tears to get to this Path

You will never again be so lost

.

.

Here you are and here I am

Walking the Path hand in hand

I'll help steady you, you help steady me

Those who have made it here will understand

FLOW ON

 .

.

FLOW ON

.

.

We are rivers flowing through time

Starting out as a formless cloud

Falling to Earth as gentle rain

Seeking our course, growing in power

As we weather torrential storms

Meandering on sunny days mile after mile

Our banks widening from the erosion of our turbulence

Never knowing what's around the bend

Losing sight of our Source in the mists of time

Until we reach the Infinite Ocean of the Unknown

The air was so still in the woods last night

BEGINNINGS

 .

.

.

BEGINNINGS

.

.

Hang in there, you are molting

Getting rid of what no longer serves you

It is a chaotic time

The value of a cup is its emptiness.

You will fill your cup with what is right and fitting for you now

Like the Fool we must leave things behind us

Take the few important and relevant things in our little bag of tricks

 And move forward.

The first thing the Fool does is come to the edge of a cliff

So be aware of every step you take.

It matters that you avoid that cliff

When the old gives way to the new

Also don't let barking whining dogs trip you up

If any come to impede or discourage you

WHY

 .

.

.

WHY?

.

.

Why do we have philosophy?

Because we need it

Life is so uncertain, confusing, and downright terrifying

We must have some context, some mental filing system

To process events as they occur

To figure out our role

In the grand scheme of things

.

.

Is one philosophy right?

Absolutely

The one that works for you

There are many to choose from

Some we just make up, or cobble together ourselves

So when you grab your first cuppa in the morning

Grab your philosophy too, like special glasses

To see context and perspective

Because you're probably going to need your philosophy

Real soon.

LOSS = GAIN

 .

.

.

LOSS = GAIN

The loss of interest in drama

Does not mean that any part of us

Has died. It means

That our focus has turned from

The quantity of life in our day

To the quality of life in our day.

WHITE FLAG

 .

.

.

WHITE FLAG

.

.

How do you end a war?

There are several ways

Total annihilation of the enemy

Grind them to dust, leave not one stone standing

Upon another in their cities

Another possibility

Is to present such overwhelming strength

That the enemy surrenders in the face of such power

This is how bears and lions establish dominance

And control

But we are not lions or bears

We are humans that can think and speak reason

Yet we don't because resources are limited

This triggers our survival instinct to fight

For what we need and want

Only fair laws and a court can decide

How to divvy up precious resources

So our choice is

The law of Nature, red in tooth and claw

Or the law of human morality

Where might does not make right

Because right is adequate resources for all.
