Poem I wrote

 .

.

.

UNNATURAL

Skunks don't spray themselves with stink

Rattlesnakes don't bite themselves injecting venom

Lions don't tear themselves apart with their fearsome claws

So it is unnatural for us to berate ourselves

Call ourselves horrible names

Or intentionally hurt ourselves in any way

WILD SHADOWS

Wild shadows on the wall

The wind, the trees, the start of fall

Nature's art a moment seen

Then gone as if a waking dream
