NEWS

Poem I wrote

.

.

NEWS

.

.

Sabers are rattled

The weather is strange

Prices are rising

Dictator deranged

.

.

Natural disaster

A famous name died

Poor people are struggling

A politician that lied

.

.

Something is dangerous

The bridge has collapsed

You must eat healthy

A treaty has lapsed

.

.

From this present moment

To the olden days of yore

The news never changes

Of that I am sure

GREAT CLOUD OF UNKNOWING

 .

.

.

Great  Cloud of Unknowing
.
.

I keep my judgements

In the Great Cloud of Unknowing

Where I also keep my hopes and fears

About the future

Speculations about the past

The mighty "What If?"

I keep my opinions about the behavior of others

In the Great Cloud of Unknowing

Because one never knows, do one?

There is a lot of wiggle room in the Great Cloud

A ballroom, with a mirrored ball and fabulous music

I dance there every chance I get

With the shadows and phantoms and specters

To the pounding rhythm of "I Don't Know"

I know all the words of this song

So I can sing along

Follow the bouncing ball down the rabbit hole

To the peaceful ever-present Cloud
