A FAINT SCAR
.
.
Let the wounds heal
Let your natural healing process take over
Have faith, or at least hope
That you can recover
You can spin the straw of abuse and dysfunction
Into the gold of life lessons
Also called wisdom and inner strength
If you see the painful past as the raw material
To disassemble and reform
Into a dwelling of peace and happiness
A refuge from all the slings and arrows
Flying around, whistling past us
Because we have learned how to duck, hide
And stand our ground when necessary
Lessons we bravely learned and we now
Pass the course and graduate to the next level
Of our evolution and progression
Stronger, wiser, trickier
And maybe able to help others with these valuable insights
Into healing the wounds of their past.
