ON BEGINNING TO READ MOBY DICK
.
.
Sometimes I don't know what I am going to write
Or if I have anything to say at all when I put pencil to paper
Usually one part of me or another has something to say
And I wait, pencil poised like an idea harpoon
Wait until a thought breeches the surface
Then I strike, while thinking jubilantly
"Thar she blows! Thar she blows!"
