When we have a lapse in judgement

The odds of something going wrong increases

In fact, sometimes the first evidence we have

That our judgement lapsed

Are the problems caused by our momentary inattention

I think of these lapses as lessons

Not a reason to berate ourselves

Losing focus is the norm

Everyone experiences this occasionally

We will keep on keeping on

While the question floats off into outer space

"What was I thinking?"
