WHITE FLAG
.
.
How do you end a war?
There are several ways
Total annihilation of the enemy
Grind them to dust, leave not one stone standing
Upon another in their cities
Another possibility
Is to present such overwhelming strength
That the enemy surrenders in the face of such power
This is how bears and lions establish dominance
And control
But we are not lions or bears
We are humans that can think and speak reason
Yet we don't because resources are limited
This triggers our survival instinct to fight
For what we need and want
Only fair laws and a court can decide
How to divvy up precious resources
So our choice is
The law of Nature, red in tooth and claw
Or the law of human morality
Where might does not make right
Because right is adequate resources for all.
