BAD SAMARITANS
.
.
A car might be zipping along the highway
Careful as careful can be
When suddenly an accident erupts
Cars ricochet off each other crazily
Spinning, a car flips on its side
Modern airbags prevent injury but the occupants are dazed
In a split second everything has changed
Others, seeing this mess unfold, pull their cars over
Run towards the flipped car, climbing up and over the wreck
To get the people inside out of the car because it might catch fire
Some of the running people are there to help,
Perhaps they have medical knowledge or are first responders
But some of the running people want to get there first
Not to help the crash victims but to help themselves
To any assets, a wallet, a purse, a cell phone that they can get their hands on
There are two kinds of people, my friend, that show up at an emergency
The Helpers and the Skells, who each have their own agenda
So keep an eye on those who act like they only want to help
They might be trying to take advantage of a chaotic moment
Because they thrive on chaos, turmoil and confusion
