NO ONE ASKED ME
.
.
I can't take sides in nature
Though I am mighty tempted to try
To root for the squirrel to escape
When the hawk dives down from the sky
But then I see that the hawk is a mother
With hungry babies to feed
It is not killing out of wickedness
It is killing out of need
I actually dislike the whole system
Nature red in tooth and claw
But it is how this whole thing works
This is Nature's ageless Law
So I back away from judgement
Though I think it's a crying shame
That nature's law is the law of the jungle
And we all play a part in this game.
