SOCIAL CONTRACT

 .

.

.

SOCIAL CONTRACT

In a homogeneous society

The weight of public opinion acts like a second legal system

Clearly defining those behaviors which are strictly out of bounds

Everyone on the same page

Knowing what is simply not done in our homogeneous society

.

.

But in modern times where travel is available to so many

We have a non-homogeneous society

Many personal decisions are not condemned merely because they are different

There are many small societies within the larger society

Each with their own criteria

Which does not apply to the general public

This requires a lot of respect and some compromise

A sincere attempt to find the common ground

To meet with our differences

It is not a matter of who has the moral high ground

Just the laws protecting the basic human rights

We are all vigilant to guard and protect mutually.

INVESTIGATE

 .

.

.

INVESTIGATE

Every once in a while, check and see if you can levitate

Float around to the amazement of all and sundry

Try to move objects with your mind, remotely view a message

Write down events in dreams to look for precognition and portents

Notice which way the birds are flying, if your palm itches

If the hem of your garment is turned up

Open a book randomly and see if the passage is a message

Look up at the night sky for alien visitors, check the waters for aquatic monsters

Light a candle and say a charm to help heal someone

Hold a crystal and imagine some quality you wish to manifest

Meditate as you walk, imagining you are walking the surface of Mars

We spend so much time in the mundane world doing things that ignore

The occult, the miraculous, the unexplained

We might benefit from exploring the Weird

The unscientific possibilities

Which are really no stranger than quantum physics

If nothing else this stuff is fun

Keeping an open mind to the hidden possibilities

A VERY WINDY DAY

 .

.

.

A VERY WINDY DAY

A very windy day fills me with unease

I don't mean just a stiff breeze

But wind that bends the trees

Whips up pollen that makes me sneeze

.

.

Rattles the windows

Carries lawn things away

Clears the sky of birds

Makes skyscrapers sway

.

.

Yes, I am nervous about the power of a windy day

Try as I might to keep nature's destructive forces

At bay

FOGBANK

 .

.

.

FOGBANK

When a dense fog rolls in we can't see our hand in front of our face

How do we continue on with the path ahead obscured?

We blindly feel our way one step at a time

Straining to see or hear anything that might guide us

We don't know if there is a wall, a cliff, or danger ahead

We don't know if there are fields of flowers or orchards of ripe fruit

We must keep going even when nothing is clear

Our minds can be clear, our hearts filled with courage

The fog will eventually lift, it always does

But until then we are in a state of immediency

As we take step after careful step

Headed towards Clarity, Certainty, and Higher Purpose

SECRET BLESSINGS

 .

.

.

SECRET BLESSINGS

She always took the chipped plate

The smallest piece, the bruised fruit

She let others talk while sitting on the hard chair

Sipping on the dregs of whatever was being offered

It was not because she preferred a chipped plate

It was because she wanted others to have the best

Their fill of food, their say

She wanted them to sit comfortably

Looking out for their needs

No one noticed all these small things she did

The tiny self sacrifices

So no one ever thanked her

On the contrary they just expected her gifts as routine

Which was just exactly how she wanted it.

ONE WAY OR ANOTHER

 .

.

.

ONE WAY OR ANOTHER

Nature has equipped us for many things

Our spirit of self preservation kicks in automatically

Once we see the danger in some course of action

We have embarked on

We usually don't set out to be reckless with our lives

On the contrary, most things we do are to preserve

And enhance our lives

We keep a wary eye on how things are going

Evaluating the potential threat to health and happiness

Remember - you are not the only one nature has equipped

With the instinct to preserve life and limb

So, if you see someone prancing down the road to ruin

A word to the wise is sufficient

If you are dealing with the unwise, save your breath

Because their natural self preservation and their wrong headedness

Are in a race

The best we can do for the unwise is get out of their way

Let them have it until it is resolved

One way or another

WHITE RABBIT GPS

 .

.

.

WHITE RABBIT GPS

When you don't trust someone

Everything they do arouses suspicion

Every word they say is analyzed for hidden content

Or deception

You spend half your time with them simply evaluating

The content of their character

In my opinion, this is not a sustainable relationship

Because the whole thing pivots on one point

Can I, or can I not, depend on the character of this person?

We can't know what we can't know

So we play the waiting game to see

If we are getting played

Hoping it will work out well but holding back

In case it doesn't work out

We are not all in, nor are we all out

We do the Rabbit Hole Hokey Pokey

Prepared to turn ourselves about

If we see Wonderland is really Blunderland

Because we don't want to lose our heads

Ever, never, again
